The A-League of Young Professionals (ALYP) is an ecosystem of distinguished young professionals and young leaders who are determined to become Africa’s next-generation C-Suite Executives and business leaders.

One of the most important factors that determine whether a business or organization succeeds or fails is the quality of leadership. ALYP was created to deliberately and consciously develop the leadership competencies of these carefully selected young professionals. Through regular thematic events, focused networking engagements, capacity building, and continual leadership training, ALYP help equip Africa’s next generation of C-Suite Executives and business leaders.

The A-League of Young Professionals is an initiative of the A-League Consult and the African Chamber for Youth Development.

Eligibility | Requirement

  • Between the ages of 21 and 35 at the time of application submission, although exceptional applicants beyond this age group will be considered

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent research abilities and a willingness to grow.

  • A positive attitude and a growth mindset

  • A proven record of leadership and accomplishment in the chosen career field

  • A demonstrated commitment to public or community service, volunteerism, or mentorship

  • The ability to work cooperatively in diverse groups and respect the opinions of others.

  • A demonstrated knowledge, interest, and professional experience in a chosen career field

  • Excellent research abilities and a willingness to grow
